Custom Processing Services is seeking an experienced Controls and Automation Engineer with the ability to develop and communicate technical requirements in a highly collaborative environment. The Controls and Automation Engineer's main responsibility will be supporting all projects that involve controls and automation. The ideal candidate will establish the company's standards for the products they help create, as well as recognize issues, address them, and implement fixes quickly and effectively. The Controls and Automation Engineer will devise layouts and studies to determine the best and most efficient ways to solve engineering issues that may arise. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that controls fit within the design guidelines of the product as well. He/she will work with a talented team and contribute to each phase of the system development lifecycle.

Custom Processing Services provides contract manufacturing/toll processing services to a wide variety of industries. Specialized processes center on particle size reduction using a number of methods including jaw crushing, pulverizing, micronizing and media milling. Additional services such as flash drying, surface treatments, blending, dispersing and packaging are also available. The Processing Pros provide new product development assistance from R&D concepts through their commercialization. In addition to CPS's technical grade facilities, a state-of-the art, dedicated building is available for cGMP processing. Our company is growing and exciting opportunities are available!

Qualifications

Four year degree in related engineering field or equivalent work experience

Highly versatile in all aspects of programable logistic controllers (PLC’s)

Concept development with cross-functional team

Writing of logic to meet agreed upon requirements

Programming of hardware to utilize logic

Verification of equipment performance utilizing logic

Validation of logic and overall system performance against said logic

Desires to participate in maintaining cutting edge knowledge in the field of technology, specifically in PLC advancements

Adept in working in conjunction and at times direct professionals working on projects related to controls and instrumentation

Highly innovative thinker, engaging in continuous improvement opportunities as a self-starter

Excellent communicator – able to advise project statuses timely and in a manner able to be understood by all levels of the organization

Experience in general industrial equipment and maintenance and willing to assist in problem resolution

Excellent computer skills – Office suite, instruction and document writing, Computerized Maintenance Management System; CAD; logic programs

Familiar with metric based performance cultures

Prefers to work in a High Performance Team setting, with self-driven accountability

Prefers to work in a culture driven by Core Values that guide all decisions
